Max Scherzer, a pitcher for the Washington Nationals, was in a bind.<\/p>\n
After a long and grueling season, his team was now about to win it all in the MLB World Series. They had worked themselves out of several holes that season. A losing record before the All-Star break. Being behind 3-1 in a playoff series. All that the team had worked for was on the line.<\/p>\n
Yet, on the morning that he\u2019s scheduled to start Game 5 of the World Series, he woke up in so much pain that it was impossible to lift his arm or turn his neck.<\/p>\n
For one of the best pitchers in the major leagues, this kind of pain was paralyzing. For his team, not having their best pitcher available when they needed him the most would be devastating.<\/p>\n
After waking up with the extreme neck pain, Scherzer immediately called his chiropractor. They got to work on adjusting his neck and back immediately.<\/p>\n
The neck pain was so bad that he was eventually benched for Game 5, a huge setback, that Scherzer called the biggest disappointment of his career. He was a World Series Champion just days after not being able to move his body without extreme pain.<\/p>\n
Following the game, Scherzer credited the twice-a-day chiropractic adjustments from his chiropractor for getting him back on the field in time to win a World Championship. Without Scherzer\u2019s performance, his team may not have won.<\/p>\n
